i borrowed a friend's car to pick up my pictures at the local CVS. I noticed when I got out of the car, the lock only depressed half way. I didn't think anything of it til when i got back out to the car and the keys wouldn't unlock the door. the keys only went half way into the lock. I figured i had made the lock turn half way, so I tried the passenger side. no luck, same thing. Tried the trunk. still no luck. cursing, I ran (1.5 miles) back to my house to finish studying for my exam the next morning. Later when we went to figure out what was up with the locks, I realized I hadn't been trying to unlock the right car. When we tried the keys in my friend's car, they worked first time. Shooooooot.

Re: right keys...right car?
Mon, April 10, 2006 - 11:31 AMDamn! That's awesome!
I work with a girl who has the exact same car as me, model and paint--but her windows are extremely tinted and mine are not at all. Should be easy to tell them apart by this alone, but several times on my way out, I have tried to get into her car instead of my own. When the key doesn't work I peer inside to find "someone has put their stuff in my car!" And then I realize I've AGAIN made the same mistake. She has caught me looking in several times--though she never says anything.
